The first "Botequim" opened in 1968 and was owned by a famous writer, Natália Correia.
It was known for attracting intellectuals during the 70s and 80s, but closed soon after Correia's death in 1993. New owners decided to bring the small space back to life in 2010, and gave it the same spirit of the previous incarnation. That means nights of poetry and live music, and a menu of "petiscos" ("tapas"), teas and cocktails throughout the day, in a retro-designed space made of antique pieces and old records. You'll find it in the tiled "Villa Souza" building by the Graça viewpoint.
